According to the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), only about one-third of Social Security disability claims are approved at the initial level. For the other two-thirds, however, for those who don’t give up but stick with it and go to a Social Security disability hearing, about half of those claimants will eventually win. About 90% of those claimants have representation at their hearing.
